The 81mm M1 Mortar, adopted in 1935, was a major workhorce in World War II, and saw heavy use in the Korean war. It fired eight types of shell, with the M56 being the heaviest, and having the highest explosive yield..

It originally had an overall weight of around 16 lbs with a maximum range of 1,300 yards. It was a High Explosive shell effective against bunkers, baricades, armor, and personnel.

This example is completely inert, and deacivated according to BATFE standards.
