With the Vietnam War still raging, Spire Christian Comics set out to tell uplifting stories about the war. This comic tells the true story of pilot Howard Rutledge and the seven years he spent as a prisoner of war in Hanoi.

The comic was written and drawn by Al Hartley of Atlas Comics, Timely Comics, early Marvel and Archie Comics fame. In 1967 Hartley, who had previously supplemented his income drawing pinups and "nudie cutie" comics, became a born-again Christian. He devoted the rest of his life to Christian comics and to telling Christian stories through the Archie comics.

Condition is 2.0 to 2.5 Comics Good and features significant wear.
