ALL ANTIQUE RIFLES SOLD AS-IS. NEVER ATTEMPT TO FIRE AN ANTIQUE WEAPON WITHOUT CONSULTING A GUNSMITH. SEE PICTURES FOR CONDITION AND DETAILS. These are sold as collectible antiques.

This is a unique piece of history. The RIC (Royal Irish Constabulary) revolver was unveiled in 1868 and was a near-instant hit in the civilian market. Likewise, the British Bulldog revolver was unveiled in 1872, to similar fanfare. It wasn't long before intrepid gunsmits in Belgium, France and Iberia began making loose copies, combining features of the two. In fact, by the 1880s, the line between what was considered a "bull dog" and what was considered "constabulary" was so blurred, that it remains a point of argument for keyboard warriors throughout the internet to this day.

This elegant pocket version is rather unique among clones, and may have been marketed more towards the German or northern European market due to its "Reichsrevolver" type safety, as Norway, Denmark, Sweden and the various German states seemed to be the only countries concerned with firearms safeties. On the other hand, it features a bird's head grip, unusual for those markets, and more often found in England, France and America.

This revolver is in either 7.64 or .320 caliber, neither of which has been produced in quantity for the American market for 100 years. Most of the bluing is retained, and what little rust there is is more like browning. The bore is good. The double-action mechanism is both tight, but provides a surprisingly light and crisp trigger pull. For further details, see pictures.
