This is a gray wool double-breasted overcoat Swiss Cross buttons.

This overcoat was used from the 1910s until 1990s, and was standard issue in the Swiss Army. These coats are incredibly well-made from top quality wool, and thus are highly sought after. The buttons are metal, meaning this coat probably predates World War II, as later examples had plastic buttons.

Size is officially a 48N, meaning it is roughly a Medium, however Swiss military sizing is based on the previous layer, meaning this might fit someone on the lower side of large.

The condition appears like new, but there could be flaws we haven't noticed.

This is a very warm wool coat that would be perfect for winter, collecting, or reenacting. With minor changes it could even complete a Confederate uniform, though it would be a shame to destroy such a well-preserved piece of history.

These items arrive as surplus, and this coat is likely more than 80 years old and may feature minor wear, moth holes, dust and minor imperfections, but we haven't noticed any.  As-Is. No returns or refunds. Call 205-533-8595 with questions
