Convert your Pietta or Uberti 1858 Remington .36 to fire 38 SPL cartridges.
This kit allows the shooter the freedom to swap between shooting cartridges and black powder.
Kit includes Gated Ring with a spring-loaded firing pin, 6 Round Cylinder, and Loading Port Template
The firing pin is spring loaded and can be removed for cleaning or replacement if necessary.
The Loading Port Template will allow you to precisely cut your loading port so that you may load from the breech end. It is no longer necessary to secure the ring.
Please note, fittings may be required due to the Gun Manufacturer’s variations or the age of the revolver. If your revolver was manufactured before 2002, PLEASE DO NOT ORDER, KIT WILL NOT WORK! These kits are made only for Pietta or Uberti Steel Frame Revolvers. We can help you determine the age of your revolver, call 205-533-8595.

This conversion cylinder is classified as a “part” by the BATF, and No FFL is required to purchase or ship this product. Once the port has been cut in the frame, it is considered a permanent modification of the revolver and is therefore now classified as a “FIREARM,” and all Federal Regulations shall apply.

"Howell Old West Conversions, LLC warrants our products for workmanship and materials for the lifetime of the original owner. The Warranty does not extend to the revolver the conversion unit is installed on due to manufacturing anomalies beyond our control. The "Warranty" does not apply to normal wear associated in firing a converted weapon, or if any unauthorized repair or alterations have been performed."

1. Ammunition must be loaded with LEAD BULLETS and a LOW-PRESSURE POWDER CHARGE that DOES NOT EXCEED 1000 FEET PER SECOND VELOCITY!
2. NOT FOR USE IN BRASS FRAME REVOLVERS!
3. .44 and .45 caliber cylinders must NEVER BE INSTALLED IN A .36 CALIBER REVOLVER!
4. Load only 5 rounds in a six shot cylinder; fully lowering the hammer on the empty chamber.
5. Follow all instructions that come with your Cylinder Assembly and Firearm. Safe shooting is your responsibility.
6. Firearm must have been produced after the year 2000, and must be in perfect working order.
