Item Number: L1A2
Manufacturer: Military Surplus
Manufacturer UPC Code: L1A2

In 1954 the UK and their commonwealth countries adopted the L1A1 inch-pattern variant of the FN Fal rifle. There were minor variants between British, Canadian, Australian and Indian made rifles, but all used essentially the same bayonet with even more minor differeces.

The L1A2 bayonet was produced at the legendary Lithgow small arms factory in Australia from 1958–1984. The Australian model had a unique, more tapered scabbard, and models made after 1960 had a rounded fuller. These bayonets saw extensive use in Vietnam for Australian and New Zealand troops fighting alongside America.

This bayonet is a post 1960 model with the rounded fuller. The blade is fairly sharp and retains its originl finish. The grip retains much of its original paint. Unfortunately, the Aussies didn't put identifying markings on their bayonets. This example is only marked "B14".

This bayonet is surplus, and may feature minor wear, light rust, dust and minor imperfections, none of which take away from it's beauty.  As-Is. No returns or refunds. Call 205-533-8595 with questions.
