This is a 1920s-made traveling apothecary kit, which would have been used to mix medicine. The box was made from pasteboard, with a leather-like finish. Unfortunately this type of finish tends to become flaky with age, and all of the finish has come off the "hinge" and making it fragile. One of the six German Silver-lidded jars is missing, but the rest remain in good condition, and are currently empty.
This is a rare item to find in any condition, and would be a perfect gift for a medical or pharmacutical graduate or professional, medical collectors and more.
This item came from a private collection, is very old, and may feature minor wear, dust and minor imperfections, none of which take away from the uniquness of this item. As-Is. No returns or refunds. Call 205-533-8595 with questions.
