Dock piling lamps and lanterns have been used for as long as docks have had pilings to aid in docking and navigation.

This vintage brass or bronze lamp was found in a forgotten storage shed, lying among items that all predated the 1960s, and mostly predated the mid 1950s. We cannot tell you how old this lamp actually is since the same design has been made for nearly 130 years. This example is marked T&B, as well as 4335-L-29.

This item came from a private collection, and may feature minor wear, dirt and minor imperfections, none of which take away from it's beauty. It would make a beautiful lamp for your home with the addition of a lamp kit and bulb.
